HOW’S OZZY?

Monday, May 13, 2013

In February we brought you the latest information on how, Ozzy, our sponsored Canine Partners puppy was doing.
However, since then Ozzy has had a bit of a trying time as he was recently diagnosed with panosteitis, a condition that affects the long bones in the legs of young dogs and more commonly seen in medium to large sized dog breeds.

While this condition can make it challenging and painful at times for Ozzy moving around, the long-term prognosis is good and should not affect his ability to be a canine partner.  He is currently being treated with anti-inflammatory medication and has been on restricted exercise, which means he has not been attending regular puppy class as the other pups might be too much of temptation for a rough and tumble!
Ozzy is being closely monitored and we are expecting him to grow out of this condition.  He has had his joints checked just in case but they are all perfectly normal for a puppy of his age, so the signs are looking good for a full recovery.

OZZY’S LATEST ADVENTURES

Just a couple of weeks ago Ozzy was allowed to visit the class again but it was all very low-key to keep him calm (which he wasn’t that impressed with!).  There was no sign of lameness and he seemed perfectly happy.

Ozzy’s puppy parent is building up his lead walking gradually to try and build up the muscle tone he has lost due to an enforced lack of exercise.  Unfortunately for Ozzy the puppy parent is not allowed to throw any toys for him, as he is not meant to engage in any high impact exercise, but is finding other ways to keep this bright little chap entertained.  He did go on his first train ride through to Falkirk, and as expected he coped with that no problem.

He has also been on a car journey to St Andrews Beach and felt the sand between his toes for the first time.  He thought it was a bit funny at first but then decided that he liked it.  He didn’t show much interest in going into the water – just a quick paddle.  He attended a certificate presentation at their local church too, where the children’s club had undertaken a sponsored silence on behalf of Canine Partners as they know Ozzy really well.

We hope you’ll join us in keeping our fingers crossed that Ozzy’s health continues improves and that he can return to his normal puppy training soon. Please send Ozzy your best wishes to spur him on to full recovery.

Here are the latest images of Ozzy posing for the camera and with the boys and girls from Raploch Primary School.

Sunday, May 12, 2013

Some of you may remember that last May we sponsored the ‘Sportsperson of the year’ award at the Central FM local hero’s awards. It was such a great night and a wonderful experience, honouring the real hero’s of our society, that when we were asked to get involved again this year, we just couldn’t say no.
As a family business based in Stirling we always like to get involved with our local community, and this year we are proud to be sponsoring ‘Parent or Foster Carer of the Year’ at the Central FM local hero’s awards on the 16th May.

Budget 2013 help for would be home buyers

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

As Chancellor George Osborne announces his 2013 Budget, the key focus is on helping the hundreds and thousands of people unable to move or get onto the property ladder because of the lenders very high deposit requirements.

But with the governments continued support of the Mi New Home scheme and their investment of £3.5bn over the next 3 years, home-buyers with as little as just a 5% deposit can get moving again.

As a participating developer in the Mi New Home Scheme, Ogilvie Homes are keen to help you move up or move onto the property market with many of our new build properties across several of our developments offering this initiative.

One of the benefits of the Mi New Home Scheme is that you can use this initiative with some of our other incentives such as Part Exchange, Assisted Sale, Assured Move and Furniture Packs.

If you want to know more or to find out if you qualify for the Mi New Home Scheme go to http://www.ogilviehomes.co.uk/new-home/specialoffer-info/95percent_mortgages_with_mi_new_home/

Or call in to one of our developments and speak to a Sales Advisor.

Helping hand for new build purchasers and first-time buyers

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Moving home has just become easier for both first time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder, with the introduction of 95% mortgages for Scottish house buyers.

As one of the participating builders in the Mi New Home Initiative, we can now help those with smaller deposits purchase a new build Ogilvie Home up to the value of £250,000, and with a wide range of house types available across all our developments we hope to get people back on the move.

This initiative has been developed by Homes for Scotland and is supported by the Scottish Government, who are working closely with the Council for Mortgage Lenders to help overcome the problems preventing many people from buying a new home.

Mi New Home provides an opportunity to creditworthy customers, who have felt locked out of the property market in recent times due to high deposit requirements, to be able to move up the property ladder or buy their very first home.

This initiative has been launched to help stimulate the Scottish property market and allow builders to respond to the demand for more new homes by building new developments in more locations.

If you are interested in finding out if you meet the criteria for qualification of the Mi New home scheme go to http://www.ogilviehomes.co.uk/new-home/specialoffer-info/95percent_mortgages_with_mi_new_home/”
